A place;
A collection of contemporary art and design;
Two reference libraries on fashion and art;
Didier Grumbach and his family
HISTORY
Since 1988, Didier Grumbach has imagined making the Domaine des Oseraies and the collection it houses a place of meetings and lifelong learning where fashion and contemporary art, professionals and young people in training, local residents and the international public would meet.
Rich in some 300 works, the collection, built up over the course of a lifetime of passionate amateurism, occupies the entire house from room to room, but also in the park, where a dozen contemporary works have been placed. Paintings, sculptures, and photographs trace the journey of an enlightened collector through the last half-century of contemporary creation, a journey of loyalty to certain artists and a few gallery owners with great freedom.

Located in the commune of Faverolles, two buildings have housed the works over the years: a former 17th-century fortified farm surrounded by a moat and a contemporary house on the edge of an alder forest. Furnished with furniture that itself represents the major trends in 20th-century design, these two living spaces integrate the pieces from the collection into a display that varies over time.
The estate's park, a remarkable garden surrounded by the moats of the old fortified farm, is punctuated by a collection of contemporary sculptures.

VISION
A PROJECT OPEN TO MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES
THE COLLECTION
Allow access to the collection, as it is presented in the premises, to school audiences accompanied by their teachers, to students from creative schools for integration seminars or workshops, to students from other schools looking for an opening to contemporary creation (management, engineers, etc.). Everyone can spend a privileged moment of contact with art at the Domaine des Oseraies.
RESEARCH
Conduct research: two libraries, one dedicated to art and design and the other to fashion, can enrich the discovery of the artists presented, or, particularly for fashion, serve as support for research activities; Host professional seminars, conferences or summer universities, less than an hour from Paris.
THE ARTISTS
Being hosted in residence: Since 2022, Domaine des Oseraies has been developing a residency program for artists selected by an advisory committee. In 2023 and 2024, these residencies were supported by the Ministry of Culture – DRAC Centre Val-de-Loire.
Our Partners
Since the Institute's creation in 1986, to which Didier Grumbach contributed, alumni have organized a meeting day each year at the Domaine, in partnership with the latter. Les Oseraies also hosts induction seminars for certain training cycles, customized training seminars, and leadership workshops in Faverolles. A multi-year agreement links the IFM, the Alumni Association, and the Domaine.
In which Didier Grumbach played a role: the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, the Association of Friends of the Centre Georges Pompidou, as well as the Association of Villa Noailles which has organized the International Fashion Festival since 1986 and, since 1997, the Photography Festival, but also, since 2006, the Design Parade in Hyères.
In 2018, the Orléans-Tours academy signed a cultural partnership agreement to supervise school visits to the Domaine des Oseraies;
